Syphrea

Syphrea er en slekt av biller som tilhører familiegruppen bladbiller (Chrysomelidae).

Utseende

Små, blanke, mørke jordlopper, gjerne med metallglans. Hode og pronotum er ofte røde.

Levevis

Både larvene og de voksne (imago) billene lever av å spise blad på næringsplanten, som gjerne er fra vortemelkfamilien.

Utbredelse

Slekten forekommer i Nord-, Mellom- og Sør-Amerika.
