Desperate Housewives é uma série de televisão estadunidense, dos gêneros comédia dramática e mistério, criada por Marc Cherry. Foi exibida no canal ABC de 3 de outubro de 2004 a 13 de maio de 2012, nos Estados Unidos. A primeira temporada teve um único episódio especial, enquanto a segunda e terceira temporada tiveram dois. Todas as temporadas da série foram lançadas em DVD nas Regiões 1, 2, 3, 4 e 5. Os episódios tiveram seus títulos geralmente retirados de letras do compositor Stephen Sondheim.

"Desperate Housewives" segue as vidas de um grupo de mulheres: Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman), Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross), Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria), Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan), Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany) e Renée Perry (Vanessa Williams), através dos olhos de Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong), amiga e vizinha falecida do grupo.

Em 13 de maio de 2012, 180 episódios de "Desperate Housewives" foram ao ar, concluindo a oitava temporada e finalizando a série.
