The 6-7 meme (pronounced "six seven"; also written as 67; 6 7; and 6, 7) is an Internet meme. The meme started in early 2025 on TikTok and Instagram Reels. The meme is a joke without a setup or punchline and it allows the person doing the meme to be in a group with others who know the meme. It comes from the lyric "6-7" in the song "Doot Doot (6 7)" by Skrilla. This song was used in social media in video edits. The video edits showed professional basketball players like LaMelo Ball who is 6 feet 7 inches (2.01 meters) tall. The term "6-7" became popular as slang Generation Alpha and Generation Z. In the summer of 2025, a boy became known as the "6-7 Kid" after a viral video showed him saying the phrase at an Amateur Athletic Union basketball game. The move he did when he said 67 became popular as well. This move is moving your hands and switching between them being up and down with your palms always being up. The meme has been criticized as being annoying because many young people do it very often. One teacher said, "It’s [6-7] like a plague — a virus that has taken over these kids’ minds,".
