An amiibo (in Japanese: アミーボ) is an action figure of a Nintendo character. They mostly consist of every playable character from the Super Smash Bros. series, as well as some Animal Crossing and Mario Party characters. Currently, even titles like Resident Evil has a few Amiibos. These action figures can be scanned in some video games on the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 to do a lot of things, including unlocking items, being an AI learning character, or even becoming a character itself.
