Australian plate

Australian plate is a major plate tectonic that is a section of Indo-Australian plate. Australia is located centrally on the Australian plate and is remarkably stable tectonically. The Australian plate and Indian plate are two separates plate, in the most recent issue of Earth and Planetary Science Letter (vol. 133).
