In 2016, BMW introduced a new electric SUV, following the i3. In 2017, it was showcased at the Beijing Motor Show, and in 2020 it went on sale. In 2025, the second generation, more technologically advanced and modern, will be released, and it will feature BMW's first car with the 'Neue Klasse' language. The BMW iX3, in addition to these 2 generations, had 2 concept cars presented: the first in 2016 and the other in 2023, previewing the second generation.
The first generation of the BMW iX3, produced from 2020 to 2024, was the electric version of the third-generation BMW X3. The code was G08, and it was available in 2 trims. Besides being BMW's first electric SUV, it followed BMW's family feeling, that is, the Series 1, Series 2, Series 3 models, etc.
In 2022, a facelift appeared.
The second generation, produced starting in 2025, was no longer derived from an 'X3,' but became its own model. Inside, a thin display on the dashboard. Besides being an SUV not derived from an 'X3', the platform is the 'Neue Klasse', which is a platform where BMW is developing the design and interiors. Aesthetically, it changes a lot, and in fact the aerodynamics is 0.24, it can charge up to 400 kW, whereas before it was up to 100 kW, and in 10 minutes you can get 340 km.
The car hasn't had any restyling yet, but there's a cheaper version.
