Benedetta Cappa (14 August 1897 – 15 May 1977) was an Italian futurist artist. She had exhibitions at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York.
Cappa was born on 14 August 1897 in Rome, Italy. She became interested in Futurism while studying under one of the movement's leading figures, [[Giacomo Balla]], in Rome in 1917. In 1923 she married Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and they had three daughters: Vittoria, Ala and Luce. Cappa, now using her married name Benedetta Cappa Marinetti, was the first woman artist to have her work featured in the 1930 Venice Biennale. In 1932 she was invited again, this time presenting seven paintings. Cappa also exhibited at the Petit Palais in Paris in 1935 and the national art exhibition in Rome the same year.
Cappa died on 15 May 1977 in Venice, Italy at age 79.
