The Buick Encore GX is a subcompact Crossover SUV made by Buick since 2019.
The Buick Encore GX was shown alongside the second generation Buick Encore at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2019. The Encore GX shares its plataform with the Chevrolet Trailblazer and is positioned between the Buick Encore and the Envision and is made by GM Korea. While in China, it is made by SAIC-GM, a joint venture between General Motors and SAIC Motor.
The SUV has a 1.2 and 1.3 liter both turbo gasoline engines with a 9-speed automatic transmission (availiable in AWD only) and CVT transmission (avaliable in FWD only). It was improved in 2023 as a 2024 model.
Currently the Buick Encore GX is sold in North America, China, and Mexico (where it is basically sold as the Encore). After the discontinuation of the Encore, the Encore GX became the entry-level model of Buick until the launch of the Buick Envista.
