The Chevrolet Monza is a small car sold by Chevrolet. It shared many parts with the Vega and replaced that car starting in 1978. It was discontinued in 1980.
There would be rebranded versions of the same car, such as the Pontiac Sunbird, the Oldsmobile, and the Buick Skyhawk.
All were known as second-generation H-bodies, based on the often-maligned Chevy Vega. All shared Vega's 97-inch wheelbase and unibody, but with some improvements, including a torque-arm rear suspension to tame the Vega's wheel hop under braking.
The Monza would stay in the Chevrolet lineup for just six model years, discontinued in 1980 to make way for the Cavalier.
