The Courland Pocket, was a pocket of German troops in Courland, Latvia trapped by the Red Army from October 1944 — May 1945 during the Eastern Front of World War II. During the last months of the conflict, Adolf Hitler (the Führer of Nazi Germany) refused the Courland troops to surrender and ‘not give up one foot of ground’. in May 1945, as Germany Surrendered, the Courland Pocket finally surrendered and World War II ended in Latvia.
