Protest on environmental impact of fast fashion

Fast fashion is a way of producing and selling clothes. The idea is to quickly design and produce fashionable clothes that are affordable. It also means that the time to market is shorter than with regular fashion. In the regular fashion market, this time is about half a year. With fast fashion, it can be as short as 5-6 weeks. People who design fast fashion often look at the trends in fashion shows. They then copy the designs of clothes where they think it is worth the effort. Very often, this is against copyritht law. Compared to regular fasion, only small quantities of fast fashion items are produced. If the item is successful, more of it can be produced easily. This is done ot adapt to a demand that is uncertain. In addition, fast fashion labels produce classical garments (trhat are very basic).

One of the design goals is that the clothes should be affordable. This means that the quality of the materials used may not be as high as with other kinds of fashion. It also means that the clothes won't last as long
