The Puerto Cabello tree frog (Fritziana pygmaeus) is a frog. It lives in Venezuela and Colombia.
This frog is awake at night. Scientists have seen this frog between 1,600 m (5,200 ft) and 1,600 m (5,200 ft) above sea level.
Scientists have seen this frog in some protected places: Parque Nacional da Serra dos Órgãos, which is inside Área de Proteção Ambiental da Região Serrana de Petropolis.
The female frog carries her eggs in a bag of skin on her back. She brings the tadpoles to bromeliad plants with water in them.
Scientists from the IUCN say this frog is not in danger of dying out. Some of the frogs are in some danger when people change the places where the frogs live to make towns, farms, and places to raise cows and from taking wood to use. People also take bromeliad plants away to sell. Other frogs that live in the same place have had the dangerous fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis on their bodies, so the disease chytridiomycosis might hurt this frog.
