The mountain marsupial frog or Schmidt's marsupial frog (Gastrotheca splendens) is a frog. It lives in Peru.

Home

This frog lives in cloud forests. Scientists have seen the frog between 1,900 and 3,235 m (6,234 and 10,614 ft) above sea level.

Scientists have seen the frog in Parque Nacional Amboró.

Danger

Scientists from the IUCN say they are not sure if the frog is in danger of dying out. In some places, human beings change the places where the frogs live to make farms, make places for animals to live, make places to live, and make other things people need. The fungual disease chytridiomycosis could also hurt this frog.
