Faegheh Atashin (Persian: فائقه آتشین, born on 5 May 1950 in Tehran), known by her stage name Googoosh (Persian: گوگوش), is an Iranian singer and actress. She is considered one of most iconic female pop-singers in Middle Eastern and Central Asian countries.
Googoosh has been married three times. She has a son, Kambiz. She currently lives in Los Angeles.
Documentary
In 2024, filmmaker Niloufar Taghizadeh made Googoosh – Made of Fire, a documentary about Googoosh's life and career. The film uses interviews with Googoosh and archive recordings from different periods of her life. It was released in German cinemas in October 2024.
