Imphal East district

Imphal East District (Meitei: Nongpok Imphal Pana) is one of the sixteen districts of Manipur state of India. According to 2011 census, it is the second most populated district in Manipur, after Imphal West. Imphal and its nearby areas are the primary linguistic zones of the Imphal dialect, which is the standard dialect of Meitei language, officially known as Manipuri language, and is natively used in the region.
