Manipura kingdom or Manipuram Rajyam was an ancient kingdom and presently, a village in the Khorda district of the Indian state of Odisha. In the Mahabharata, the ancient Hindu epic, Manipur is mentioned as a kingdom located in the shoreline periphery of the Bay of Bengal, after passing through the Mahendra Mountain. It is the place where Arjuna seek asylum and get married to Chitrangada, the princess of the kingdom.
