NHL 24 is an ice hockey video game. It was published by EA Sports and was developed by EA Vancouver. It is the 33rd game in the NHL series.

It was released worldwide on October 6, 2023. It was released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

The game introduced a new engine which affected exhaustion for players and AI. The game also debuted the total control skill move system which allowed players to perform more advanced dekes. A better passing and checking system was also added to the game.

On August 14, 2023, it was announced that Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche was chosen as the cover athlete for NHL 24.

Reception

The game received mixed and average reviews by game critics. Critics said that they liked the exhaustion engine, improved checking, and HUT Moments. However, critics also felt that EA had not upgraded or changed any of the existing game modes that were in the game. They also did not like the introduction of battle passes and wait times were very slow.
