The House of Al-Nabhan (also written Banu Nabhan or Nabhani dynasty) is an Arab dynasty. It ruled parts of Oman from the 12th century until the 17th century.
The Nabhani dynasty began to rule in Oman around the year 1154. Different branches of the family held power in different parts of the country for several centuries.
They controlled important areas and ports in Oman. Their rule lasted until the rise of the Ya'ariba dynasty in the 17th century.
Historical books such as History of the Imams and Seyyids of Oman (written in the 19th century) describe the Nabhani rulers.
