History

In 2016 Elon Musk and 7 other people created Neuralink.

In 2021 a monkey played Pong, while the monkey had a brain implant from Neuralink. On January 29, 2024, Musk said that Neuralink had successfully implanted a Neuralink device in a human on the day prior. Musk said the patient is recovering, and added "Initial results show promising neuron spike detection".

The number of people that have gotten brain implant (from Neuralink), is three (as of 2025's second quarter).
