Piveteausaurus is a French theropod dinosaur that lived during the Jurassic Period, about 164–161 million years ago. It is known from a partial braincase found in France. Scientists have suggested that it may have been a megalosaurid or a spinosaurid. It was named after the French paleontologist Jean Piveteau. Piveteausaurus may have been about 11 metres (36 feet) long.
