The plot

Set one year after the events of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in Earth time (but over 1,000 Narnian years later), the four Pevensie children—Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy—are summoned back to Narnia by the magic horn of Queen Susan. They discover that Old Narnia has been conquered by the Telmarines, a race of humans led by the ruthless Lord Miraz. The rightful heir to the throne, Young Prince Caspian, flees into the woods and forms an alliance with the talking beasts and magical creatures of Old Narnia to reclaim his throne.
