“Road to Rupert” is a Season 5 episode of Family Guy that centers on Brian and Stewie.
Brian accidentally loses Stewie’s beloved teddy bear, Rupert, at a yard sale. Stewie is devastated and furious, so the two set off on a cross-country road trip to track him down. Their journey takes them through a series of misadventures—stealing a car, getting stranded, and even briefly ending up in jail—while their contrasting personalities clash along the way.
Eventually, they locate Rupert in Aspen, Colorado, where a wealthy, eccentric man has purchased him. Stewie tries to buy Rupert back, but when that fails, he sneaks into the man’s house to retrieve the bear. The plan goes wrong, and Rupert is accidentally damaged during the chaos.
In the end, Brian manages to repair Rupert, and Stewie forgives him. The episode closes with their friendship reaffirmed, highlighting the emotional bond between Stewie and his toy as well as the odd-couple dynamic between him and Brian.
