Rooftop Koreans, or Roof Koreans were Korean Americans store owners and others during the 1992 Los Angeles riots who had guns and defended their stores on rooftops.

Background

Koreans and African-Americans groups haven’t had good relations with each other in Los Angeles. The Killing of Latasha Harlins also made relations worse.
