Nude swimming is swimming without clothes. It is a form of nude recreation. A colloquial term for it is skinny dipping. Naturists do common activities in the nude. Usually, this includes bathing and swimming. In the late 19th, and most of the 20th century nude swimming was common in many parts of the world for groups of boys and men. In a setting where there were also girls and women, people usually wore a swimsuit. With the acceptance of naturism, this has changed somewhat, and there are mixed-gender groups bathing naked together in some parts of the world.
