Skolopendra

In Greek legend, the Skolopendra (Greek: "centipede") is a giant sea monster. According to Aelian, it had hairy tendrils, a crayfish-like tail, and numerous rows of webbed legs. It was said to be comparable to a trireme. Some historians think it was a baleen whale.
