Stefan Lippe

Stefan Lippe (October 11, 1955 – April 24, 2020) was a German executive and former CEO of insurer Swiss Re.

Biography

Lippe studied mathematics and business at the University of Mannheim. In 1983, he started working at at a company owned by Swiss Re.

He worked at Swiss Re for more than 30 years. He was the CEO of Swiss Re from 2009 until 2012.

He co-founded Acqupart Holding and Yes.com. He became an AXA Director in 2012 and Chairman of the AXA Audit Committee in 2013.

Personal life

In April 2020, Lippe died from COVID-19 at the age of 64.
