The Vegas Falls tree frog is a frog. It lives in Venezuela.

Home

People see this frog on rocks near the Cerro Huachamacari river. Scientists have seen the frog between 1,400 and 1,700 m (4,600 and 5,600 ft) above sea level.

Scientists have seen the frogs in a protected place, Duida-Marahuaca National Park.

Young

The female frogs carry their eggs on their backs. The eggs hatch into small froglets, not swimming tadpoles.

Danger

Scientists from the IUCN and from the Venezuelan Fauna Red List both say this frog is in some danger of dying out. Climate change could hurt this frog because it lives in such a small place. Viruses, bacteria, and fungi could also hurt this frog by making it sick.
