The Japanese Super Formula Championship is a formula racing championship held mainly in Japan. It is the most important single-seater racing championship in Japan and Asia as a whole. The series is controlled by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) and managed by Japan Race Promotion (JRP). As of 2024[update], Super Formula is the second fastest racing championship in the world, after Formula One. The series relies on Honda and Toyota for engines, which would cost too much without their help.
