Tarō Asō (麻生 太郎, Asō Tarō; born 20 September 1940) is a Japanese politician. He is a member of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party. He was the 92nd Prime Minister of Japan. He is from Iizuka, Fukuoka. He is a member of the far-right organization Nippon Kaigi.
Early life and education
Asō, a Roman Catholic, was born in Iizuka in Fukuoka Prefecture on 20 September 1940.
Asō graduated from the Faculty of Politics and Economics at Gakushuin University, and the London School of Economics.
