The Midnight Snack is the second Tom and Jerry theatrical animated short produced in Technicolor, directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, and released on July 19, 1941. In this short, Jerry sneaks into the kitchen refrigerator at midnight to steal a slice of cheese, only to be caught and tormented by Tom. However, when Tom's own fridge raiding leads to broken china, Mammy Two-Shoes is awakened. Following a chaotic chase, Jerry traps Tom in the refrigerator to take the blame, allowing Jerry to triumphantly enjoy his late-night snack.
