Tide is a brand of laundry detergent and is owned by Procter & Gamble. Since it was created, Tide has been the most popular laundry detergent in the world.

The detergent was created by David “Dick” Byerly, a scientist at Procter & Gamble. He would then call this detergent Tide and would launch it in 1946.

Tide has also been the sponsor for many NASCAR vehicles. Darrell Waltrip, Ricky Rudd, and Ricky Craven all raced for Tide and won.
