U.S. Route 491 is a U.S. Highway through Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico, from north to south. It was originally known as Devil's Highway or Route 666. It was renamed due to the fact that 666 is the Number of the Beast, which many people fear, and the unusual amount of crashes that occurred which people attributed to the unlucky name of the road.
