Dear Simple English Wikipedia administrators,

I, Wikipedian2025 wants to be nominated as an administrator of the Simple English Wikipedia. I already know how to use Wikipedia, and i already know all of the policies and guidelines. I have some experience of editing Wikipedia, and i did had some experience with anti-vandalism when i was monitoring the new changes section to see if any vandalism was happening. I'm not going to abuse the admin features and eventually get banned. I will use the admin features carefully and for good use. I think that's all i can say regarding about requesting to be an administrator.

Sincerely, Wikipedian2025.

  1. Thanks for volunteering but if you don't know how to transcribe the RfA, you probably don't have the technical knowledge to use the tools. Generally, I don't see nearly enough experience. Garsh (talk) 23:02, 7 September 2026 (UTC)
  2. i have to agree with Garsh2 on that one sorry mate, you're welcome to apply for adminship next to 6 months or a year maybe when you have enough experience. 🌸 Sakura emad 💖 (talk) 10:04, 8 September 2026 (UTC)
  3. Oppose I really think the user is not ready and just feels like to test the sysop buttons. Just after requesting for the role, they went for a wiki break and has not been citing sources on their articles. (~Nwa Mbata) (talk) 16:56, 8 September 2026 (UTC)

  5. I dont think you are qualified at this time fr33kman 01:31, 10 September 2026 (UTC)

Comments

  • Has Wikipedian2025 been informed that this was being transcluded? CountryANDWestern (talk) 10:29, 8 September 2026 (UTC)
@Ferien; @BRPever; @Eptalon: Pinging you all as active 'crats. I'm concerned about the procedural aspects here. The nominee posted regarding his RFA at the admins' noticeboard the other day. Barras attempted to get them to look at the directions on how to transclude their RFA but the user did not understand or did not set out to do it. They then went on wikibreak, but have since returned. This RFA has since been transcluded by Garsh2, but I see no communication where it has been confirmed that the nominee asked for this to be transcluded by another user or that Garsh2 spoke with them about doing it on their behalf. This is obviously going to be a WP:SNOW situation, but I don't know if it should be open currently. The pile-on effect that may occur may be undesired. CountryANDWestern (talk) 16:27, 8 September 2026 (UTC)
I interpreted this AN discussion to mean that he wanted an answer on the request (aka transcluded so it could be reviewed). I’m not sure that I see any other way to interpret that. Let it get a few oppose votes and then close it as SNOW to avoid a pile on. Garsh (talk) 18:05, 8 September 2026 (UTC)
CountryANDWestern, in pretty much every case the candidate or nominator should transclude the RfA themselves, as otherwise it could be a draft for later. I don't want to set a precedent that that shouldn't be the case, that being said the candidate has been requesting review of their RfA as a matter of urgency, both on and off-wiki, so I see why Garsh2 went and transcluded this to give them the review they were seeking. They were told directly about doing this multiple times and didn't though, so I do agree this being transcluded is not ideal, but it is difficult to put the cat back in the bag so to speak. The best way to continue is probably to snow close this which I will do later today unless another crat beats me to it. --Ferien (talk | join TBA!) 00:13, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
  • My input was requested so here it is: given the current state of the request, this is unlikely to pass, even without the need to cite procedural issues. So we can handle this as any other RFA. Some pass, others don't pass. Also note: a failing RFA is no reason to give up, there is a lot people can do even without adminship.-Eptalon (talk) 17:04, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
