BNA Records, also known as BNA Entertainment and BNA Records Label, was an American country music label in Nashville, Tennessee that was active from its founding in 1991 until it ceased operations in 2013. BNA featured country music acts on its roster. The company derived its name from the IATA and ICAO airport codes for Nashville International Airport. Boomer Castleman founded BNA Records on July 1, 1991, as a new RCA label, originally called BNA Entertainment, which was acquired by BMG Music in 1993 and was renamed BNA Records, known as BNA Records Label. The first country artist signed to BNA was B. B. Watson, and the first hit for BNA was "Light at the End of the Tunnel". In 1995, Kenny Chesney and Lonestar were both signed to BNA. In 2011, Sony Nashville acquired BNA Records. BNA Records ceased operations and closed its country division on June 24, 2013.
