Ademola Abiodun, known as DJ Chicken, is a Nigerian disc jockey and TikTok personality. He was the subject of reports in the Nigerian press in 2025 and 2026 in connection with road traffic incidents and a criminal prosecution. In November 2025, the Ogun State Ministry of Justice announced that it would expedite a prosecution over a vehicle collision in Sagamu. In July 2026, he was arraigned before a Lagos magistrates' court on charges relating to a video in which he was alleged to have threatened Seyi Tinubu. He pleaded not guilty.
BBC News Yoruba reported that Abiodun was born on 10 April 1995 in Lagos State, was raised in Ogun State, and later returned to Lagos. Vanguard gave his age as 37 in July 2026, which does not agree with the BBC date.
Abiodun works as a disc jockey and as a content creator on social media. BBC News Yoruba described him as a former associate of the singer Portable, and reported that the two had since fallen out.
On 1 November 2025, a vehicle driven by Abiodun collided with motorcycles in Sagamu, Ogun State. A video of the aftermath circulated online. BBC News Yoruba reported that a motorcycle rider and a passenger were injured and that, according to Legit.ng, witnesses blamed speeding for the collision. At the time of the report, the Ogun State Police Command had made no public statement and Abiodun had not commented.
On 24 November 2025, the Ogun State Ministry of Justice stated that Abiodun had caused the Sagamu collision, which it said seriously injured a rider and a passenger. It stated that a second collision involving him occurred in Lekki, Lagos, on 23 November 2025, and that it was reportedly his third road crash in two months. The ministry said the case had been referred to the state Attorney-General, who had instructed officers to speed up proceedings on the Sagamu case.
On 9 July 2026, The Punch reported that Abiodun's lawyer, Rotimi Stephen, had said that Abiodun was in custody in Ikeja following a video about Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu. At the time of that report, neither the police nor the Department of State Services had confirmed the arrest.
On 10 July 2026, Abiodun appeared before Magistrate M. F. Onamusi at an Ikeja Magistrates' Court. The prosecution alleged that on 5 July 2026 he posted a video on Facebook and Instagram threatening to kill Seyi Tinubu if Bola Tinubu contested or won the 2027 presidential election. He was charged on three counts: threat to life, offensive online publication and conduct likely to breach the peace. The charges cited the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, and the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015. He pleaded not guilty. The court set bail at ₦1 million with two sureties and adjourned the case to 3 August 2026.
Blueprint reported that Abiodun was held at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre until his bail conditions were met, and that his lawyer confirmed his release on 21 July 2026. The same report stated that Abiodun had earlier retracted his remarks and said they were intended as a joke. As of the sources available, no verdict had been reported.
