Elementor Ltd. is an Israeli software development company primarily known for its WordPress website builder, Elementor. The Elementor website builder allows WordPress users to create and edit websites with a drag-and-drop editor. It competes with Wix.
Elementor is available in two versions: a free version and a premium version called Elementor Pro.
As of February 2025,[update] Elementor was available in 64 languages and was the most popular WordPress plugin, with over 10 million active installations worldwide. It is an open-source platform licensed under GPLv3 and, according to BuiltWith statistics, it powered 5.07% of the top 1 million websites globally in February 2025[update].
Elementor was founded in 2016 by Yoni Luksenberg and Ariel Klikstein. It raised $850,000 in seed funding and, according to Globes, became profitable within months of its founding. The Hello theme is a minimalist theme framework specifically designed to pair with the Elementor page builder.
Elementor was recognized by Israeli business daily Calcalist as one of the top 50 most promising Israeli startups for 2019.
In 2019, Elementor acquired Layers WP, a WordPress theme brand. That same year, Elementor partnered with A2 Hosting to provide a hosting account for its users.

In 2025, Elementor introduced AI Copilot, an integrated artificial intelligence assistant that helps users generate content, layouts, and design elements directly within the page builder.
In February 2020, Elementor raised 5 million from Lightspeed Venture Partners, its first institutional funding round. At the time, more than four million websites had been built with the platform. In 2021, Lightspeed invested a further $50 million in an internal round, which was not reported until the following year.
In June 2022, Elementor made its first acquisition, buying Strattic, a Jerusalem-based developer of static hosting technology for WordPress sites, for a sum reported to be in the millions of dollars. Later that month the company laid off 60 employees, about 15% of its workforce, citing inflation and an expected recession.
In June 2026, Elementor announced the dismissal of about 100 employees, 30% of its workforce, and a move to a flatter organisational structure. Luksenberg said the company had underestimated the speed of technological change in website building following the introduction of AI coding tools. Globes reported that the company was profitable and had raised a total of about $66 million from investors.
