One advantage of front engine design is better cabin space for passengers, and also bigger boot space. Another advantage about putting your engine in the front is when the engine needs maintenance or if an accident occurs, mechanics don't have to put apart half of the car in order to reach the engine. A disadvantage about having the engine in the front is that more weight of the car goes on the front wheels and less weight goes on the rear wheels, which causes understeer.
