Greetings from California is the debut studio album by The Madden Brothers, whose members consist of Joel and Benji Madden from pop-punk band Good Charlotte, which was released on September 16, 2014, in the United States. The album's first single, "We Are Done", premiered on May 30, 2014, on 102.7 KIIS FM. The music video for the single premiered on June 30, 2014. The album was made available for pre-ordering on the iTunes Store on July 4, 2014, with "California Rain" made available for immediate download.
The album is split into two "sides". The first filled with upbeat, sunny pop rock produced by their long-time collaborator Eric Valentine, who also produced Good Charlotte's The Young and the Hopeless and The Chronicles of Life and Death. Side two is produced by Joe Chiccarelli, is inspired by "70s-era FM pop".
Quietly taken offline from streaming services in 2015 and being referred to as a "lost record" by Joel and Benji on their podcast and X accounts. Greetings from California is set to be rereleased to streaming services on November 6, 2026 under the Good Charlotte moniker with 3 new versions of tracks, beginning with a new release of "U R" (featuring Ziggy Marley) and featuring new versions of Jealousy (All Your Friends In Silverlake) (featuring Eyedress) and a live version of We Are Done recorded during the Motel Du Cap Tour and released as a limited time 2LP vinyl on November 27th for Record Store Day. On the reissuing and releasing of the album, both Joel and Benji have stated that "More than 12 years ago we made this album as The Madden Brothers. Soon after releasing it we felt like we wanted to take it back, and keep it just for us. All these years later, we realized, this could have been a GC record all along, so we’ve put some time and love into repackaging this to re-release it, and it’s really meaningful to get to share it again. We’ve learned a lot thru the years and have come to appreciate all these stories and experiences. The journey was the destination, all along."
