Igor Rybakov

Igor Vladimirovich Rybakov (Russian: Игорь Владимирович Рыбаков; born on 16 May 1972) is a Russian entrepreneur. He co-owns Technonicol, a producer of roofing, waterproofing and thermal insulation materials. He is also an author, actor, singer, and producer.

As of 2025, Rybakov is ranked #2152 on Forbes' Billionaires list, with a net worth of $1.4 billion.

Career

In 1988, while still in high school, Rybakov earned 1,400 Soviet rubles by working with a student construction brigade, an amount comparable to an engineer's annual salary at the time.

In 1992, he co-founded Technonicol with his classmate Sergei Kolesnikov.

In November 2018, Rybakov and Kolesnikov received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Russia. They attended the gala awards ceremony in Monaco in June 2019.

Literary works

In 2017, Rybakov published The Thirst, a book detailing his business philosophy and the founding of Technonicol. In 2018, it was awarded second place in PwC's "Business Book of the Year" competition.

Music and production

In 2019, Rybakov released his first music album Summer Has Been Going Away (Russian: «Уходило лето»). “Music stimulates intellectual activity that helps me to search and discover new business opportunities,” Rybakov said in a phone interview for Bloomberg. The same year, he produced a short film titled "Fair Play".

Philanthropy

The Rybakov family collaborates with organizations such as UNESCO and the World Bank.

The Rybakov Preschool focuses on early childhood education for preschool and kindergarten, incorporating a methodology developed by the UNICEF Education Development Bureau.

The Rybakov X10 ACADEMY offers programs for entrepreneurs. Its course, Entrepreneur Yourself!, was the fourth most popular Coursera course among Russian learners in 2019 and was also listed among the top 10 most popular global courses launched that year.

The corporation has 53 manufacturing facilities in 7 countries (Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Italy, Great Britain, Germany), 22 offices in 18 countries, 18 training centers, and 6 research centers. The business started as a trading company: young entrepreneurs purchased raw materials, delivered them to factories, and resold products produced at affiliate factories. The first office in Moscow opened in 1993. From 1994 to 1999, they expanded into the various regions of Russia, as well as the other CIS countries. Today, the company has 90 sales offices in Russia and the CIS countries. The company's products can be purchased in 150 countries. In November 2018, Rybakov and Kolesnikov won the 2018 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in Russia. They attended the gala awards ceremony in Monaco in June 2019 together. In 2019, Technonicol was included in Forbes' list of the top 200 largest Russian private companies, ranking 114th.

Igor and Ekaterina Rybakov have a daughter, born in 2000.

Rybakov runs a YouTube channel with over 2 million subscribers. A recurring segment, Billionaire’s Thoughts, features weekly discussions with guests on current events, while Rybakov Talks focuses on the future of education.
