"John Banega Don" is the 1st episode of the first season of Motu Patlu. It originally aired on October 16, 2012.

Plot

Motu and Patlu find a torn five-hundred-rupee bank note on a street in Furfuri Nagar and look for a dealer who accepts damaged currency. Meanwhile, a criminal named John escapes from prison and plans an underworld deal involving a bag containing ten crore rupees. John commands his henchmen to exchange this bag with their contact using a torn note as a verification token.

The henchmen spot Motu and Patlu holding their torn note and mistake the duo for their actual contact, handing over the ten-crore-rupees bag before driving away. Confused by the heavy bag, Motu tosses it over a wall, where it lands directly on Inspector Chingum’s head. Inspector Chingum pursues the duo for the incident, while John’s gang tracks them down after realizing the mix-up. The chase leads everyone into the jungle where the bag is recovered. Motu and Patlu help Inspector Chingum capture John and his gang. The authorities present the duo with a reward check of one crore rupees, representing ten percent of the recovered amount, which the duo rips in half while arguing over who gets to hold it.
