Pardalinops testudinarius, common name : the tortoise dove shell, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Columbellidae, the dove snails.
The shell size varies between 10 mm and 41 mm
(described as Columbella pardalina subcribraria) The shell is obesely fusiform and swollen in the middle. It is dark brown, closely spotted with white, and lacks a darker or otherwise differentiated subsutural band.
There are a few spiral striae at the base, but the surface is otherwise smooth. The shell contains 7 to 7½ whorls. The aperture is narrow and sinuous, and is more than half the length of the shell. The outer lip is decidedly thickened internally in the middle and is armed with about five tubercular or elongated teeth. The apex is entire, or nearly so.
This species occurs in the Red Sea, in the Indian Ocean off Tanzania; off the Philippines; in the Western Pacific Ocean and off Japan and Australia.
