Sentrycs is an Israeli counter-unmanned aerial system technology company and a subsidiary of Ondas Holdings. The company develops protocol-based counter-unmanned aircraft systems that detect, identify, and intercept unauthorized drones through radio-frequency communications.

In November 2025, Ondas Holdings acquired Sentrycs for approximately US$225 million. The company operates within Ondas's autonomous systems business and has supplied counter-drone technology for law enforcement, public safety, and security applications.

Technology

Sentrycs develops protocol-based counter-drone systems using technology it calls Cyber over RF. The systems analyze radio-frequency communications to identify drones and locate their operators. They can also disconnect selected drones from their controllers and direct them to a designated landing location. The technology is designed to operate alongside other counter-drone components, including radar and electro-optical sensors.

Sentrycs' technologies include Horizon, which uses machine learning to analyse radio-frequency signals, and Scout, a portable counter-drone system.

History

The company was founded in 2017 as Convexum. In April 2023, it was rebranded as Sentrycs.

In 2024, the company reported that its technology had been selected for use at military installations in Europe.

Acquisition by Ondas

On 3 November 2025, Ondas Holdings announced an agreement to acquire Sentrycs. The acquisition was completed on 17 November for approximately $225 million, comprising $125 million in cash and the remainder in Ondas shares. Sentrycs retained its name and became part of Ondas's autonomous systems business.

Ondas announced plans to integrate Sentrycs' technology with its existing counter-drone systems. In June 2026, Ondas introduced LADOS, a command-and-control system designed to integrate sensors, autonomous platforms, and counter-drone technologies.

Partnerships and acquisitions

In August 2024, Sentrycs signed a memorandum of understanding with Mahindra Group to develop and manufacture counter-drone systems for the Indian market.

In 2025, Sentrycs partnered with XTEND to integrate its counter-drone technology with XTEND's unmanned aircraft systems.

Also in 2025, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems announced that Sentrycs’ technology would be integrated into its Drone Dome counter-UAS system. The integration added protocol-based detection and mitigation capabilities to the system.

In September 2025, DroneShield integrated Sentrycs' drone takeover technology into its DroneSentry platform, adding controlled-landing and forensic capabilities.

In June 2026, Lockheed Martin and Sentrycs announced plans to integrate Sentrycs' Cyber-over-RF technology into Lockheed Martin's Sanctum counter-drone system.

Sentrycs also announced contracts to supply counter-drone systems to national security agencies in Latin America, and Africa.

In February 2026, Sentrycs announced an order for its portable Scout counter-drone system from a German state police force.

2026 FIFA World Cup

In April 2026, Ondas announced that its subsidiary Sentrycs had received contracts to provide counter-drone systems for venues associated with the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Sentrycs stated that its systems would be deployed in approximately 70% of U.S. host states and at locations in Canada and Mexico. The specific cities were not disclosed.
