Slevomat is a Czech website that offers hotel stays and leisure activities. It also operates in Slovakia under the name Zľavomat.sk.
The company was founded in 2010 as a group buying discount site and later shifted its focus to travel. It was owned by the British travel company Secret Escapes from 2017 to 2025. In 2025, the Czech private equity firm Genesis Capital bought a majority stake.
Slevomat was launched on 12 April 2010 by a team led by Tomáš Čupr, with Romana Sudová and Petr Bartoš among its co-founders. Čupr had encountered the group-buying model while living in the UK and developed Slevomat with inspiration from Groupon.
Investment group Miton became involved shortly after the launch. Slevomat expanded into Slovakia within few months after the launch, with Zľavomat.sk website.
During the early years, Slevomat invested in several competitors. In 2011, it acquired a 51-percent stake in Zapakatel and held a 35-percent stake in Vykupto. The cooperation with Zapakatel ended the following year, when Slevomat reduced its holding to a minority stake.
Čupr sold his majority stake in 2011 and stepped down as chief executive in 2012. By that time, the platform had about 1 million customers.
By 2013, purchases made through Slevomat in the Czech Republic exceeded CZK 1 billion annually, and the company reported a profit.
In April 2017, Slevomat announced it would move away from time-limited group discounts and that it would focus on offers in travel and leisure.
Later that year, Secret Escapes bought Slevomat, together with the price comparison site Skrz.cz and the Slovak sister site Zľavomat.sk. The price was not disclosed. Hospodářské noviny reported that it may have been around 1.5 billion Kč.
Tomáš Braverman, previously chief executive of Czech comparison website Heureka, became chief executive of Slevomat in July 2024.
In November 2025, Secret Escapes agreed to sell a majority stake in Slevomat to Genesis Capital. Minority stakes went to members of the management team and to the family office of Czech investor Jitka Cechlová Komárková.
Slevomat earns a commission on each stay or voucher sold through its website. Travel made up about 70% of the group's sales volume in 2024. The group also operates travel-search website Skrz.cz and tour operator CK Zanzo.
