Slingshot Law

Slingshot Law is an American personal injury law firm based in Austin, Texas, with an office in Grand Junction, Colorado. The firm was formerly known as Gibbs & Crivelli Injury Attorneys and adopted the Slingshot Law name in August 2026.

History

The firm's partners are Drew Gibbs and Scott Crivelli. Gibbs was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2004 and is board certified in personal injury trial law. Crivelli was admitted to practice in Texas in 2012 and is also board certified in personal injury trial law.

In 2014, Gibbs played a key role in obtaining and releasing Austin Police Department dashboard-camera footage through an open-records request that recorded two officers making inappropriate comments while representing a client in an automobile collision case. The officers were subsequently suspended following an internal investigation.

In 2023, Gibbs & Crivelli represented plaintiffs in a $12 million automobile-collision settlement. In June 2026, CBS Austin reported that Gibbs represented a driver whose vehicle had been involved in a collision with a Waymo autonomous vehicle.

The firm changed its name from Gibbs & Crivelli Injury Attorneys to Slingshot Law in August 2026.
