• Seminar Room 2, Central Library, University of Otago
• Friday, 23 October 2026
• 12.30 to 1.30 pm

Come along and get stuck into some wiki-work, or learn from other editors about the things they're working on.

Apologies

What have we been up to?

•

DrThneed The photo competition finishes today, but due to technical problems arising from the PHPocalypse, photo upload to Commons isn't working! Nor can people register for the event. If I'm able to extend the deadline over the weekend I will, otherwise we'll just have to be happy with what we have!

• DrThneed: Till the Bells Ring still going through DYK. Dunedin College of Education proposed changes submitted for review still waiting on COI edit request approval. Scarfie flats page in prep. Also fixing myriad Cite Q issues after a change in how the template handles author names which is littering academic profiles with red warnings, ugh.
• Andykatib: Talked about NZ and international politics as well as the Carrie miniseries.

Upcoming events

Wikimedia Aotearoa online meetups alternate between Saturday and Sundays, at 10–11.30am.

• Next meeting Saturday 21 November 10–11.30am

There is a Destubathon for Asia-Oceania coming up in November, it's a competitive event where you can win money, but also just something you can participate in to decrease the number of stubs in our part of the Wikipedia-verse.

There is a 24 hour international climate-focused editathon coming up on 11 November, which we'll be hosting a 2 hour session during. More info soon!
