@Hannah Silverman: Are you planning to get veggie burger (or similar)? If not, I will -- just don't want to be redundant. — Rhododendrites ^talk \\ 18:20, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Yes,@Rhododendrites I made a lot of veggieburgers from ground oats, walnuts, spinach and lentils. Also made about 20 bbq chicken thighs, and bought a couple dozen beef franks - I sure hope there are a lot of people. If not I will leave some of it at home - also got buns for all those items and one purple onion, one bottle of ketchup and mustard:--Hannah Silverman (talk) 00:28, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

Oh my. I was at Whole Foods anyway and grabbed some Beyond Burgers, but that is inferior to the homemade sort. They won't go to waste here, though. :) Pharos can say better than I can whether this list reflects the actual turnout of the Wiknic. — Rhododendrites ^talk \\ 00:43, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

@Hannah Silverman: Wow, you are being very generous! I think the crowd will not be that big, though, so you should maybe leave half of that at home.--Pharos (talk) 02:09, 29 July 2018 (UTC)::::*@Pharos: @Pharos Thank for the update. I'll adjust the quantities. @Rhododendrites I love spice but did not put much into the veggie burgers. Just FYI.Hannah Silverman (talk) 12:13, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

The recipe requested for the Veggieburgers (thank you for asking, they were fun to make): warning, I do not measure ingredients.

Cook a small quart sized pot of 1/2 red and 1/2 green lentils, and finely chopped onions (I used a machine for the onions, almost liquefying them), and some generous amount of olive oil - let it cool.
use a mini-grind/chopper machine to make flour out of uncooked oats, then add other dry ingredients like chia seeds, I also added a little flax meal and used the mini-chopper again to pulverize walnuts (the amount of walnuts was fairly equal to the oats).
Mix everything together, leave in fridge for a few hours, make patties and bake for 1/2 hour or more.
