Drug addiction (as are all addictions) is a health problem, not a criminal activity. In a lot of places, the use, supply or manufacture of substances that some people become addicted to is illegal and there fore criminal activity; however being addicted isn't illegal in itself. @YeBoy371: I'd say it toes the line. As you may know, people in Alcoholics Anonymous call themselves alcoholic even if they haven't drunk in decades, because addiction is a disease that is present even if you're not actively drinking or using. When it comes to being a drug addict, it is true that most drugs are illegal somewhere, but cannabis is a drug one can be addicted to, and it is legal or decriminalized in a lot of jurisdictions. Therefore, the box doesn't necessarily endorse criminal activity, imo.—LeastConcern 12:17, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
