Bouliachelys es un género monotípico extinto de tortuga marina del Cretácico que habitó el mar de Eromanga, un gran mar interior de lo que hoy es Australia. Originalmente se describió como un miembro de Protostegidae.En un estudio de 2013 se consideró que era un miembro de Dermochelyoidae, aunque estudios posteriores lo consideran nuevamente como un protostégido.

Bouliachelys es uno de los tres géneros de tortugas marinas protostégidas descritas a partir del registro fósil de Australia. Se trata de la especie descrita más recientemente y se encuentra en una posición intermedia de tamaño, situándose entre la pequeña Notochelone costata y la colosal Cratochelone berneyi.
