Douglas Aibel

Douglas Aibel (...) è un produttore teatrale e casting director statunitense, candidato al Premio Emmy.

Biografia

Laureato al Vassar College, Douglas Aibel ha iniziato la sua carriera teatrale nel 1982, entrando a far parte del Vineyard Theatre di New York in qualità di assistente alla regia. Nel 1985 ne è divenuto direttore artistico. Tra le produzioni da lui curate per il Vineyard Theatre figurano How I Learned to Drive, Tre donne alte, Avenue Q, The Scottsboro Boys, The Lyons, Indecent, Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill e Gloria.

Lavora anche come casting director per il cinema e la televisione. Tra i film a cui ha collaborato figurano Dead Man Walking - Condannato a morte, Unbreakable - Il predestinato, Frances Ha, Grand Budapest Hotel, Manchester by the Sea e Storia di un matrimonio.

Nel 2019 ha ricevuto la candidatura al Premio Emmy al miglior casting per una serie drammatica per Succession.
