Claws Mail은 가볍고 설정 변경이 자유로운 자유-오픈 소스, C/GTK 기반 이메일 클라이언트이다. Claws Mail은 윈도우와 리눅스, BSD, 솔라리스와 같은 유닉스 계열 시스템 모두에서 실행된다. 메일은 MH 사서함 형식으로 저장한다. 플러그인을 통해 HTML 메일을 읽을 수 있지만, HTML 메시지를 작성하는 기능은 없다.

기능

Claws Mail은 뉴스 클라이언트이자 RSS 어그리게이터이기도 하다. 통합되어 있거나 플러그인을 통해 제공되는 추가 기능은 다음과 같다:

역사

개발은 2001년 4월 실피드의 개발 버전에서 새로운 기능을 테스트하고 디버깅할 수 있는 Sylpheed-Claws로 시작되었다. 2005년 8월에 Claws Mail은 실피드에서 완전히 분리(포크)되었다.
